Performance and Emission Characteristics of Vegetable oils on Twin Cylinder CI Engine
The world currently facing two major problems one is depletion of fossil fuels and other is environmental degradation. And it is necessary to find an alternative fuel. It should ensure less exhaust emissions, and it should match with the parameters of pure diesel. We conducted experiment on CI diesel engine fuelled with two different oils. They are cedar wood oil and Eucalyptus oil at zero load and at 100% load conditions. Experimental results are compared with pure diesel. Based on the experimental analysis these two fuels can be used as bio diesel in diesel engine.
